Capital Sign Language (CSL) is a full service sign language interpreting and referral agency. We provide on-site sign language interpreting and consulting services to government and private sector organizations in the Metropolitan Washington DC area. CSL specializes in government, medical, performing arts, and educational interpreting.

The interpreting community in the Washington, DC area has changed significantly in recent years. Capital Sign Language was established to provide interpreters - both new and experienced - a supportive environment in which to work and learn. CSL is a woman-owned business serving a variety of clients. It's also interpreter owned - so we understand the need to assign the proper interpreter to each client. Our goal is to make every interpreted event successful.

As a small business we also understand the fiscal constraints of this troubled economy. We provide quality service that is value driven. We know it can be hard to provide interpreters - an added expense - at times. However, providing equal communication access is the right thing to do. In addition to providing qualified sign language interpreters, CSL also provides educational services. If your business is in need of short term sign language classes, we can provide classes to fit your work schedule and tailor a curriculum to your specific vocabulary needs. Classes are also available for individuals and other small groups.
